Job Summary
Diagnose and repair engine and electrical issues on power generation equipment at customer sites, including routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and new equipment start-ups. Manage daily schedules via tablet, travel in a company-supplied truck to perform inspections, oil changes, and troubleshooting, then finalize paperwork through the Mobile Technician Application. Maintain parts inventory and adhere to safety protocols while working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Requires 24/7 on-call availability and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 5+ years of experience with diesel and/or natural gas engines, generators, and automatic transfer switches
- Valid Driver's License
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Common hand tools and electrical meter
- Self-motivated
- Attention to detail
- Quick learner
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of electrical systems
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
- Excellent customer skills
- Basic computer skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
