Job Summary
Conduct technical inspections of electrical work, monitor contractor quality control programs, and review project drawings to ensure compliance with design documents. Observe onsite construction to verify proper installation and execution, while assessing contractor submittals and responding to Requests for Information. Coordinate development of Independent Government Estimates for modifications and change orders, preparing monthly progress reports and attending meetings to summarize project status. Submit weekly progress reports with technical recommendations based on field inspections and document reviews. Maintain active Secret clearance and apply knowledge of International Codes and construction safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must have an engineering, architecture, or construction management degree from an accredited university in the United States
- A Professional Engineering License (PE) is acceptable in lieu of a degree
- Must have an active Secret clearance before deployment
- Knowledge of International Codes
- Knowledge of Construction Safety regulations, i.e. EM 385-1-1, OSHA, etc
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Desired Qualifications
- Overseas experience
- Professional Engineering registration
- Specific experience with high and low voltage equipment, as well as telephone and fire alarm systems
Additional Requirements
- Must be eligible for an active Secret clearance
