Job Summary
Ensure contractor compliance with design documents by reviewing engineering shop drawings, reading construction narratives, and observing onsite installation quality. Perform technical inspections of architectural elements, evaluate contractor remedies for discovered problems, and manage submittals for contract compliance. Monitor construction progress against the schedule, submit weekly and monthly reports, and attend meetings to summarize project status with engineering emphasis. Formulate solutions for the Project Director/Construction Manager while resolving conflicts and ensuring work meets U.S. standards. Requires a degree or PE license, seven years of construction experience, active Secret clearance, and knowledge of International Codes. Salary range is $125,000 to $135,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering, architecture, or construction management degree from an accredited university in the United States
- A Professional Engineering License (PE) is acceptable in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 7 years' experience on construction projects of similar scope and dollar value
- Must have an active Secret clearance before deployment
- Knowledge of International Codes
- Must have experience in assessing and responding to Requests for Information (RFI)
- Knowledge of Construction Safety regulations, i.e. EM 385-1-1, OSHA, etc.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
