Ocean Planning Associate

Execute end-to-end planning and booking of ocean freight shipments within a regional network, including origin intermodal movements. Act as the first point of escalation for issue resolution and process improvement for specific trade lanes or carriers. Coordinate day-to-day operations with Account Management, Ocean Execution, Allocation, and Ocean Carriers while maintaining FMT data. Conduct data analysis on utilization and forecasts versus allocation, manage exceptions through agreed SLAs, and build local carrier relationships by collecting market intelligence. Prepare forecasts, request soft allocation to secure space, and optimize performance via net revenue steering and deadfreight management. Work on continuous process improvements, automation studies, and function enhancements. Bachelor's degree in logistics or related fields required with minimum 5 years of experience in air operation or freight forwarding.
