Ocean Operations Associate

Job Summary
Execute booking and documentation processes with clients and carriers while handling timely shipment troubleshooting and exception escalations. Work intimately with account management and planning teams to ensure an effective end-to-end export process, plan and execute special freight operations for DG and reefer shipments, and coach junior specialists on daily tasks. Assist senior associates with new business and process implementation, support internal and external clients in making informed decisions, and contribute to developing procedures and system capabilities to improve operational quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or related fields
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ocean operation or related roles in freight forwarding/logistics
- Good communication of written and spoken English
- Detail-oriented, structured, and eager to learn global supply chain operations
- Customer-focused mindset: respond promptly and professionally to customer needs, answering calls and dealing with customer queries, providing first-class customer service at all times
- Live and act with integrity guided by the company values including sustaining a high bar for operational quality and service
