Job Summary
Manage the daily operations of the Ocean Import business in Hamburg, overseeing team leadership, task distribution, and the end-to-end processing of import shipments from order intake to final billing. Monitor operational performance, ensure strict adherence to customer SOPs and compliance standards, and coordinate closely with customers, shipping lines, terminals, and internal departments like Sales and Customs. Proactively address shipment delays, deviations, and complex operational escalations while driving cost efficiency and profitability. Foster team development through coaching and onboarding, continuously identify process improvements, and maintain high data quality across all documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Ausbildung zum/zur Kaufmann/-frau für Spedition und Logistikdienstleistung oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
- Mehrjährige fundierte Berufserfahrung in der internationalen Spedition mit Schwerpunkt Ocean Freight Import
- Erfahrung in der Führung und Entwicklung von Mitarbeitenden sowie Freude daran, Verantwortung für ein Team zu übernehmen
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse der operativen Abläufe im Seefracht-Import und der dazugehörigen Transportprozesse
- Ausgeprägtes kaufmännisches Verständnis sowie ein gutes Gespür für Kosten, Performance und Profitabilität
- Hohe Kunden- und Serviceorientierung sowie Erfahrung im Umgang mit anspruchsvollen internationalen Kunden und Partnern
- Eine strukturierte, lösungsorientierte und eigenverantwortliche Arbeitsweise
- Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
- Sicherer Umgang mit MS Office und TMS-Systemen
- Du kannst operative Kennzahlen einordnen, Prioritäten setzen und daraus die richtigen Maßnahmen für dein Team ableiten
