Job Summary
Ocean Export Procurement Analyst who will source, negotiate, and manage ocean freight rates and carrier agreements, secure vessel space, provide quotes and pricing guidance, support RFQ/RFP processes, build relationships with steamship lines/NVOCCs, monitor market trends (GRIs, PSS, blank sailings, capacity), and collaborate with operations to meet cost, transit time, and reliability targets. Key skills include experience in ocean freight procurement, carrier management, pricing, strong Excel and TMS/tools, and proven negotiation/analytical abilities. Location: Kansas City, MO. 2–5+ years preferred in freight forwarding, NVOCC, shipping line, or logistics provider settings.
