Ocean Export Manager

Develop and grow the Ocean Export product in the marketplace focusing on Operations, Finances, Sales, People, Systems and Culture in line with company policy. Create and maintain an effective department organization chart designed for flexibility and growth. Prepare, execute, monitor and update the department business plan. Monitor and improve key departmental productivity; review quotations and support product by checking local charges and quotes to minimize branch losses. Possess thorough knowledge of the Ocean Export product; plan and support monthly meetings and discussions to share market intelligence and delegate workloads. Attend weekly branch Sales meetings and facilitate discussions on Ocean Export with market updates. Take an active role in transitioning new business and updates to existing business; implement system changes and process improvements; grow department revenue in line with district budget and management expectations. Support with internal financial reports to ensure clean accounting; maintain strong relationships with vendors (shipping lines, trucking companies, etc.); conduct staff appraisals and development meetings; assist supervisor with goal setting. Requires university-level or equivalent business qualifications, minimum 7 years in Expeditors or industry, 3 years of team management, and fluent English.
