Job Summary
Occupational Therapy Assistant provides skilled OT services in patients' homes within a defined territory under the plan of care; conducts assessments, documents progress, educates patients and families on treatment procedures and safety, and collaborates with physicians, therapists, and staff. Requires current OT license in the state of employment, a minimum of one year of OTA experience in an acute setting, strong communication, detail-oriented approach, and valid driver’s license with auto insurance; travel to patient locations is required. Uses therapy modalities and equipment (wheelchairs, braces, walkers, canes, etc.) and maintains timely documentation and adherence to Medicare/federal guidelines; participates in case conferences, on-call requirements, and orientation of new staff.
