Job Summary
Implement occupational therapy treatment plans for adolescents in a residential mental health setting, focusing on emotional regulation, daily living skills, and trauma-informed interventions. Facilitate individual and group sessions while observing and documenting client progress under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to reinforce therapeutic strategies across routines and support continuity of care during short-term maternity leave coverage. Requires current Michigan licensure and experience in behavioral health or residential treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in State of Michigan
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in mental health, behavioral health, pediatrics, residential treatment, or trauma-informed care preferred
- Strong skills in observation, documentation, communication, and teamwork
- Ability to build rapport with adolescents and maintain professional boundaries in a residential setting
- Comfort working within structured routines, safety protocols, and behavioral support frameworks
- Subscription of the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goals, purposes, and objectives of the agency
