Job Summary
Assist with data collection and evaluation under the supervision of an OTR; perform clinical functions including screens and execution of treatment plans, delivering treatment in accordance with Medicare and state guidelines, facility and company policies; modify interventions based on resident needs; communicate with the resident’s family/caregivers and other team members under supervision; maintain treatment area, equipment, and records; terminate services with follow-up plans when maximum benefit is reached; provide in-service education to team members and community; participate in organizational activities and committees; coordinate with patient’s physician as necessary regarding progress; contribute to program planning and development with an OTR; and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Certification in accordance with the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Licensed by the State in the designated geographic area in his/her respective therapy profession
- Ability to lift, turn, move positions, and transport patients as required (50 pounds minimal assist transfer)
