Job Summary
Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing vocational and educational activities to restore task performance and promote self-sufficiency for adults with complex neurological injuries. Design and fabricate assistive devices for working and living environments, then conduct community reintegration activities to support physical activity. Provide training to individuals and stakeholders while documenting results, and report status changes to the rehabilitation specialist, clinical coordinator, and attending physician. Maintain current CPR certification and 2+ years of neurorehab experience. This community-based neurorehab team treats patients in homes, workplaces, schools, and the broader community.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
- Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience assisting in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions
- Current CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years experience preferred in neurorehab
