Job Summary
Implement treatment plans and select modalities to meet established goals for geriatric, orthopedic, neurologic, pediatric, and neonatal rehabilitation clients. Transport, transfer, and assist patients in wheelchairs, beds, tilt tables, and stretchers while ensuring safety; assist with dressing and toileting needs. Conduct home environmental assessments and participate in rehab care plan development. Manage inpatient and outpatient schedules, arrange visit arrivals, and report delays. Maintain, care for, and clean equipment and supplies. Provide technical skills mentorship to staff under minimal supervision. Requires OT Assistant licensure, CPR/BLS certification, valid driver's license, and at least 21 years of age.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment
- Acknowledge and understand E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree in occupational therapy or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' rehabilitative services experience or equivalent education
- One year's occupational therapy experience
