Job Summary
Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers; respond to service requests and relay information to the Occupational Therapist; ensure all treatments align with the established plan of care; complete thorough timely documentation in accordance with policy and regulations; attend required meetings and collaborate with the Director of Rehab. This role is in-house rehab within a Skilled Nursing Facility/long-term care setting. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential; new graduates are welcome to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
- In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred
- Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
