Job Summary
Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing. Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, and respond to service requests by relaying information to the Occupational Therapist. Ensure treatments align with the plan of care, provide clinical support/instruction to patients, families, and caregivers, monitor responses to interventions, and complete required documentation in line with policy and regulations. Attend required meetings designated by the Director of Rehab. Requires Texas license as an OTA and COTA credential; SNF/long-term care experience preferred; in-house rehab; new graduates welcome. Required Qualifications
- Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
- In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards
- SNF or long-term care experience preferred
- Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices
- Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
- Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
