Job Summary
Assist the Occupational Therapist in providing treatments to residents as determined by the Plan of Care, managing caseloads through individual or group scheduling while maintaining efficiency. Instruct residents, families, and caregivers in OT procedures for discharge continuity and ensure all documentation adheres to PPS guidelines and billing policies. Comply with ethical, regulatory, and professional standards while overseeing techs and assisting in the supervision of affiliated students. Maintain resident confidentiality, foster self-worth through respectful interaction, and ensure the physical environment remains sanitary and safe. Lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and maintain professional competence through continuing education and mandatory in-services.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of AOTA accredited OTA school
- Eligible for licensure in their state of practice
- Ability to lift/move fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Fine motor skills
- Visual acuity
Desired Qualifications
- Prior long-term care experience
