Job Summary
Occupational Therapist to conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients in the Beaufort/Bluffton area, working closely with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to deliver patient-centered care. Responsibilities include performing assessments, supervising plan implementation by COTAs, coordinating with care teams and providers, utilizing telehealth to collaborate with COTAs and healthcare professionals, documenting care management activities, educating patients and families, and ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations. Travel between offices, facilities, and patient homes is required; role involves in-home, ALF, and ILF visits and may include telehealth and care-team meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in good standing
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience, preferably in a home health or outpatient setting
- Proficiency in Telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to read and communicate effectively
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Must be a licensed driver with a vehicle in good working order
