Job Summary
Develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills for clients with physical, mental, or developmental conditions through client-centered interventions. Select and adapt treatment models to address performance aspects supporting engagement in occupations affecting health and well-being. Apply interventions to maximize safety in activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living while teaching clients new task approaches. Assess home and other environments for necessary alterations, recommend adaptive equipment, and train family members and caregivers on proper use. Observe, document progress, and regularly follow up on long and short-term treatment goals.
Required Qualifications
- Proven working experience as occupational therapist
- Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy
- Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools
- Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline
- Valid license to practice occupational therapy
