Job Summary
Occupational Therapist provides assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitative services to restore or improve function in activities of daily living, functional mobility, cognitive tasks, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, selecting appropriate activities, revising goals with patient/family input, documenting sessions, providing education to patients and families, facilitating discharge planning and referrals, collaborating with physicians, maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality, and participating in staff meetings, mandatory education, and process-improvement activities. Requires licensure as an OT, BLS certification, and strong communication and teamwork skills; schedule typical Monday–Friday, with daytime hours in a hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Required Minimum Education: Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy and Master's in Occupational Therapy
- OT - Occupational Therapist license
- BLS - Basic Life Support certification (ARC-BLS or BLS Instructor acceptable) or equivalent
- Active licensure as Occupational Therapist per hire requirements
- Effective communication and customer service skills, teamwork, basic computer skills
