Occupational Therapist

Provide comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations based on MD orders and develop comprehensive treatment plans with long- and short-term goals, frequency, duration, and modalities. Deliver comprehensive therapy to patients, modify treatment as indicated, and adhere to precautions. Document evaluations, progress notes, monthly treatment plans for recertifications, discharge summaries, caregiver/discharge in-services, and all required facility documentation. Participate in facility and rehab meetings, act as a rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team, assist in scheduling patients, perform screens, and bill patients for services ethically. Supervise junior staff, students, and technicians as needed, maintain professional relationships, and provide in-service education to rehab staff, facility staff, hospitals, and the community. Comply with facility policies, patient confidentiality, and resident rights, demonstrate punctuality and productivity, and adhere to HR policies. Maintain a positive work atmosphere and perform any other duties assigned by supervisors. This role is located in Waverly, VA and is full-time.
