Job Summary
Assess and evaluate patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, and home assessments. Conduct patient assessments evaluating the level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests. Observe, record, and report to the nurse supervisor and physician the patient's response to treatment and changes to the patient's condition. Consult with the physician in the development of the therapy plan of care while providing service within the scope of practice as defined by state laws.
Required Qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapy licensure in state of practice
- Current CPR certification
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
- Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment

- Good communication, writing, and organizational skills
