Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities, then develop individualized treatment plans to address specific needs. Implement therapeutic activities and exercises while monitoring progress, adjusting plans as necessary, and educating patients and families on strategies for improving daily function. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain licensure in Vermont and complete continuing education to stay current with best practices. This full-time role in Newport, VT requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree, state license, and 1-2 years of clinical experience, with flexibility for weekend rotation and physical demands including patient lifting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- State license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Vermont
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends and rotate schedules as needed
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform job duties, including lifting and moving patients and equipment
