Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive functional evaluations, develop and implement occupational therapy plans of care, and document progress per CMS and agency guidelines. Provide home-based occupational therapy across Stevens and Pend Oreille Counties, including patient and caregiver education, interdisciplinary communication, and timely outcome reporting. May supervise OTAs and home health aides when permitted by state regulation. Requires an active Washington State license, master's or doctoral degree, and ability to travel within the regional service area. Shifts run 08:00–16:00 Monday through Friday with flexibility for weekend rotations and holiday coverage. Mileage reimbursement is provided between visits.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Bachelor's degree acceptable if previously listed but Master's is required by client
- Active Washington State Occupational Therapy license
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- Experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Clinical OT experience
- Ability to work independently in community and home settings
- Ability to travel within coverage area including Stevens and Pend Oreille Counties
- Ability to complete evaluations
- Ability to develop OT plans of care
- Ability to document per agency and CMS guidelines
- Ability to communicate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Comfort with scheduling flexibility
- Weekend rotation availability
- Potential holiday coverage as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience driving between patient visits and managing a case load in the field
- Experience supervising OTAs or home health aides where permitted by state regulation
