Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities to restore, improve, or maintain functional abilities across inpatient and outpatient populations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services, document care, and contribute to departmental quality initiatives. Perform diagnostic assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement individualized plans of care for Activities of Daily Living, range of motion, and strength testing. Coordinate discharge follow-up with community agencies and participate in departmental education, safety, infection control, and policy development. Work Monday through Friday with Saturday availability required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Hawaii state OT license
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- Experience providing occupational therapy services across a range of settings including inpatient and outpatient care
- Client-specific experience with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) training
- Client-specific experience with range of motion (ROM) assessment
- Client-specific experience with strength testing
- Client-specific experience with development/implementation of individualized OT plans of care
- Ability to perform diagnostic assessments
- Ability to develop treatment plans
- Ability to document services according to facility and regulatory standards
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with physicians, nursing staff, and community agencies
- Candidate must be available to work Saturdays
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in hospital, long-term care, or skilled nursing environments
- Experience delivering group therapy
- Experience delivering vocational or psychosocial activities
- Experience fabricating simple orthotics or adaptive equipment
- Prior involvement with departmental quality improvement
- Prior involvement with infection control
- Prior involvement with committee work
