Job Summary
Provide direct patient care as a Travel Occupational Therapist in a hospital setting in Detroit, MI. Responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, documenting progress per facility policy, participating in discharge planning and patient/family education, and supervising OT Assistants and OT students while ensuring safety for patients, staff, and self. The assignment emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, adherence to safety practices, and completion of documentation and supervision duties in an acute-care environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Michigan Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required
- Experience performing patient evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and documenting progress according to facility policy
- Experience supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and OT students in clinical settings
- Experience working in acute care or hospital environments preferred
