Job Summary
Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract in Williamsburg, VA seeking a dedicated OT to evaluate and treat patients in a skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities include evaluating functional abilities, developing individualized treatment plans, providing hands-on therapy per physician orders and facility protocols, documenting progress, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and educating patients and caregivers to support ongoing safety and function. Requirements include Virginia OT license, BLS, and graduation from an accredited OT program. Preferred experience in skilled nursing or long-term care. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree)
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Virginia required to start the assignment
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
- Ability to evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans in a skilled nursing/long-term care environment
- Demonstrated ability to document patient progress and maintain accurate treatment records per facility protocols and regulatory requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing staff, and families
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- New graduates welcome (Preferred: experience in skilled nursing or long-term care)
