Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Provide thorough evaluations using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice. Develop and implement individualized plans of care focused on ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive device training. Monitor progress, adjust treatments, and communicate outcomes with the interdisciplinary team. Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings. Provide comprehensive discharge summaries and ensure compliance with NBCOT and state practice acts. Travel assignment involves 8-hour days (shift: 8 hour days, 35 GWW) with no weekend requirement specified. May be required to obtain necessary DME or supplies as part of practice requirements. Documentation of treatment minutes and regulatory information in the electronic documentation system per facility policy. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program
- Active Occupational Therapy state license required at time of submission and to start the assignment
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
- Experience in long term care (LTC) or rehabilitation settings is required
- New graduates considered only if they have Level II fieldwork experience (not solely Level I observation)
- Resume required at time of submission
- Skills checklist within one year required
- 0-1 professional reference required at time of submission
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC preferred
- Experience supervising OT assistants, rehabilitation aides, or students preferred
