Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Conduct occupational therapy services for patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities to help them regain daily skills, focusing on adult care, hip and knee surgeries, and adaptive equipment. Perform lifting and transfers, educate patients and families, ensure safety and injury prevention, manage telephone communications, and complete documentation. Maintain a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a weekend rotation every sixth full weekend, potentially floating between facilities. Requires an active state license, BLS certification, and a minimum of two years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program
- Active State License
- 2 years of occupational therapy experience
- Adult care experience
- Adaptive equipment experience
- Experience with hip fracture, total hip replacement, knee injuries, and total knee replacement
- Experience with lifting and transfer, patient and family education, safety and injury prevention, telephone calls, and documentation
- BLS Certification from AHA or ARC
