Job Summary
Evaluate functional performance and develop individualized treatment plans for residents recovering from injury, illness, or functional decline. Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve independence and quality of life while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support safe discharge and improved daily living skills. Document progress accurately to support clinical decision making and reimbursement. Work 5 days per week in 8-hour shifts from 08:30–16:30 at a skilled nursing facility in Holmdel, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active New Jersey Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment
Desired Qualifications
- Current BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) may be required
- Experience working in skilled nursing facility or long-term care settings preferred
- Demonstrated competency with ADL/IADL training, wheelchair assessment, and adaptive equipment recommendations preferred
- Documentation experience with electronic medical records preferred
- Prior travel therapy experience preferred
- Experience with restorative nursing programs preferred
- Certification or training in fall prevention, manual techniques, or cognitive rehab preferred
