Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Provide home-based occupational therapy in patients' homes within the Portsmouth, NH area and Epping care-center coverage, delivering evaluation and treatment to help patients regain or improve daily living skills. Work independently with a varied caseload, following established clinical care guidelines and documentation standards, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in the home health setting. Travel between patient visits is required within the assigned coverage territory; mileage reimbursement is provided. Shift is 08:00–16:00 with 32–40 hours weekly; on-call or weekend requirement: no. Requires a Bachelor's/Master's/Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy and an active NH OT license, plus BLS certification if required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active New Hampshire Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required
- Minimum experience providing occupational therapy in home health or community-based settings preferred
- Experience with HCHB EMR is preferred
- Must be able to travel within the assigned coverage area and drive between patient visits
- Mileage reimbursement provided between first and last patient visits
- Must meet any client-specific professional certification requirements outlined in the LHC Group job description
- Home care experience is preferred
- Familiarity with productivity expectations typical to home health settings
- Comfort working independently and managing a varied caseload in patient homes
