Job Summary
Travel occupational therapist needed for a 13-week outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy assignment in the Hudson, FL area. The role requires evaluating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, managing a full hand caseload, and fabricating custom hand splints. Proficiency with outpatient documentation, goal writing, and letters of medical necessity per payer and clinic guidelines is required. Must hold an OT degree and a Florida license; BLS may be required. Preferred experience includes 1 year in outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy and student supervision involvement. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program
- Active Florida Occupational Therapy license
- BLS Certification from AHA or ARC may be required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience making custom hand splints and managing a full hand caseload is required
- Proficiency with outpatient documentation, goal writing, and letters of medical necessity in compliance with payer and clinic guidelines
- Ability to evaluate patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide discipline-specific direction and delegation
- Ability to participate in student supervision and contribute to clinical education preferred
