Job Summary
Travel Occupational Therapist role in a skilled nursing setting based in Olympia, WA. Provide skilled rehabilitation services focused on improving functional independence for geriatric patients, including ADL training, gait training, and use of adaptive equipment within a well-equipped therapy gym. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team; supervise rehab techs; leverage ADL kitchen and bathroom training setups. Requires WA OT license and BLS; experience in skilled nursing/long-term care and geriatric populations preferred. Assignment features 8-hour day shifts, no float, with comprehensive benefits including housing and travel/license reimbursements. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program
- Active Washington State Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC may be required
- Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred
- Experience with ADL training, adaptive equipment, and functional mobility in geriatric populations preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
