Job Summary
Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract in Peoria, IL. Deliver restorative care in a skilled nursing setting, support patients’ daily living activities, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include restoring function, documenting in electronic health records, using adaptive equipment, and contributing to discharge outcomes. Requires OT degree (BS/MS/OTD) and active IL OT license; BLS may be required. Five 8-hour shifts weekly, 35 hours/week, with travel-oriented housing and license reimbursement options. Emphasis on patient function, safety, and rehabilitation across varied caseloads.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapy state license required to start the assignment
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required
- Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care environments preferred
- Experience with ADL training, adaptive equipment, and documentation in electronic health records preferred
