Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and daily treatments in an inpatient rehabilitation setting to support patient recovery and functional independence. Contribute to interdisciplinary team efforts including PT, SLP, RNs, and therapy technicians by assisting with treatment planning and discharge planning using established unit policies. Utilize Meditech EMR for documentation and familiarize yourself with rehab equipment such as hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, and gait training devices. Shift hours are 08:00–17:00, typically Tuesday through Saturday with possible alternating weekends. This assignment may require floating to acute care or outpatient areas as needed. Benefits begin the first day of assignment and include full medical coverage, 401(k) matching, and 100% paid housing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program
- Current, active, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license for the State of Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with inpatient rehabilitation
- Familiarity with common rehab equipment: hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, rollators, NuStep, gait training devices, hospital beds, bed/chair alarms, oxygen tanks, pulse oximeters, and blood pressure machines
- Experience using Meditech EMR
- Strong time management and interpersonal skills
