Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide family/caregiver training for patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. Manage interdisciplinary collaboration, discharge planning, and documentation in accordance with department policy while supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students. Perform patient and employee safety checks and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts within a hospital setting. Part-time schedule includes 4 shifts per week with 5 shifts in rotation (4x5). Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license required; Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. BLS certification preferred. Experience in acute care or hospital environments preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program
- Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in an acute care or hospital environment
- Experience supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and OT students
