Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans to promote patient function and safety. Deliver hands-on therapy per physician orders and facility protocols while maintaining accurate documentation of progress. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including PT, SLP, and nursing to support continuity of care. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on safe techniques to enhance independence and reduce risk. Provide clinical support for geriatric and post-acute populations in a skilled nursing environment. 8-hour shifts with guaranteed hours indicated in order notes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree)
- Active Occupational Therapist license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Clinical competency in evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience or comfort working in a skilled nursing / long-term care environment
- Prior experience treating geriatric populations and post-acute care patients
- Familiarity with common skilled nursing documentation systems and CMS compliance
- Additional certifications relevant to skilled nursing care
