Job Summary
Provide school-based occupational therapy services to students, including evaluations and assessments of fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and daily living skills; develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals; deliver direct OT services to students individually or in small groups; collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support classroom modifications and accommodations; participate in IEP meetings and contribute to progress documentation; educate staff and families on strategies for generalization and carryover of interventions; maintain timely documentation and pursue ongoing professional development; roles may vary by state/district requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state where services will be provided
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification
- Experience working with school-aged children or in educational settings preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet students’ individual needs in dynamic school environments
