Job Summary
Conduct direct therapy, consultation, evaluations, and case management for PreK–12 students with special needs. Develop IEP plans, evaluate progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including educators and parents. Provide assessments and sensory integration interventions while managing a caseload that includes documentation, administrative, and planning time. Work on-site in Olympia, WA, during the 2026–2027 school year with guaranteed hours. Maintain state and NBCOT licensing, exercise discretion in communications, and perform necessary physical movements to engage with students.
Required Qualifications
- BS, Master's, OTD, or PhD in Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited university
- State License as Occupational Therapist
- NBCOT License
- Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
- Experience working with children
- Strong foundation in Sensory Integration and ability to identify and analyze areas of developmental and sensory-motor dysfunction
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in use of technology
- Fingerprint background clearance
- Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
- Must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities
