Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients referred by physicians using occupational modalities, supervision of assistants, and exercise to relieve pain and restore function. Perform accurate evaluations within 48 business hours, design plans of care with measurable goals, and document all services and progress. Re-evaluate patients on an ongoing basis to adapt treatment programs and notify physicians of status changes. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to determine discharge plans and modify treatment as needed. Provide clinical supervision to Occupational Therapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Techs while maintaining patient dignity and adhering to insurance guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- skilled, registered and licensed professional
- Must be a graduate of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum
- must be licensed in the state practicing by the Board of Occupational Therapy
- provide an acceptable Criminal Background Check
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds
- Safe moving, lifting or transferring of patients is required
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must demonstrate appropriate and applicable fine motor skills
- Must demonstrate adequate visual acuity for safety with patient interaction
