Job Summary
Occupational Therapist (per diem) providing patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload. Responsibilities include screening and evaluating residents, developing care plans, delivering direct resident treatments (individual, supervised, and group), contributing to team meetings, training residents and caregivers, monitoring efficiencies with supervision, and documenting activities in the clinical documentation system. Must demonstrate knowledge of Medicare and reimbursement regulations, communicate effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers, and supervisors, and provide appropriate facility consultation. Requires ability to function in multi-faceted systems, strong oral/written communication, organizational/analytical skills, ability to stand/walk for long periods, and English language proficiency. Education: B.S. or M.S. in Occupational Therapy; Massachusetts OT license; CEU requirements per state licensure. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy
- OT license required in Massachusetts
- CEUs per state licensure requirements
- Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Standing and walking for significant amounts of time
- Communication skills required for directing staff, customer relations, and marketing activities
- Documentation in clinical system
- English language proficiency
