Job Summary
Conduct assessments to identify patients' strengths and limitations, then develop individualized treatment plans based on their needs and goals. Implement therapeutic techniques and monitor progress while adjusting plans as needed. Educate patients and families on daily activities and adaptive equipment usage. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and maintain accurate patient records. Requires considerable physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for over four hours daily, and bending or stooping for more than one hour at a time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current state license to practice Occupational Therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and modalities
- Experience working with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to fifty (50) or more pounds
- Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet
- Standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day
- Bending and/or stooping for more than one (1) hour at a time
