Job Summary
Occupational Therapist sought to join a multidisciplinary clinical team in Fredericton, NB. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, in vivo exposure, group facilitation, return-to-work planning, and 1-1 OT treatment for mental health conditions across programs such as WorkSafe NB, RCMP, and Veterans, with collaboration across the clinic. Responsibilities also cover psychoeducation groups, case management and coordination, discharge planning, and supporting clients in daily living skills, energy conservation, pain management, and establishing sustainable routines. The role requires efficient documentation, reporting to third-parties, and involvement in community mental health promotion; travel may be required. Must hold a Master’s degree in OT, be actively registered with NBAOT, maintain professional liability insurance, hold a valid driver’s license, and have at least two years of relevant experience. Relocation assistance is provided.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required
- Active registration with the New Brunswick Association of Occupational Therapists (NBAOT) is required
- Professional liability insurance is required
- A valid driver’s license and sufficient insurance coverage is required
- Two years of experience supporting clients with mental health conditions including assessment/triage and treatment is required
- Experience supporting first responders is an asset
- Equivalencies of education may be considered
