Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Assistant provides occupational therapy services under the direction of the Licensed Occupational Therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of care. Duties include assisting in patient evaluation, implementing treatment programs, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, re-evaluating and modifying treatment plans, documenting progress, educating families, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA and infection-control policies. Requires ability to transport to patients’ homes, lift/transfer patients, and meet physical demands; weekend/holiday/occasional overtime may be required. Must be a graduate of a 2-year OTA program, be licensed, and have at least one year of clinical experience. Location options include El Paso, TX. Working environment includes field/home visits and office settings.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a 2-year college-level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
- Current state license to practice occupational therapy
- Must be licensed to practice occupational therapy by the state licensing board in the state of practice
- Current CPR license
- Minimum of one year of experience in the clinical practice of Occupational Therapy
