Job Summary
Telehealth Occupational Therapist role based in Australia delivering evidence-based OT via telehealth and VR-supported interventions from home; focus on children, adolescents and adults, with neurodiverse clients, requiring AHPRA registration, NDIS familiarity, Medicare/NDIS checks, and strong documentation; part-time with flexible telehealth setup and training provided. Responsibilities include initial assessments, OT interventions to improve functional skills and emotional regulation, collaboration with families and professionals, progress reporting, and adherence to professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Full registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
- Minimum of three years’ clinical experience
- Experience or strong interest in paediatric Occupational Therapy
- Experience working with children, adolescents and neurodiverse clients
- An understanding of the NDIS framework and goal-based therapy approaches
- A Medicare Provider Number, Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain these
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Full working rights in Australia
- A suitable work-from-home setup, including high-speed internet and access to a computer, laptop or tablet
- An interest in emerging technology and the role of VR in Occupational Therapy practice
