Job Summary
Provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment to assigned patients to help them reach maximum performance levels and function within their capabilities. Administer and write evaluations in accordance with departmental standards, while designing and administering treatment programs that increase patients' levels of functioning through therapeutic exercises and adaptive techniques. Consult on environmental design, proper positioning to prevent contractures, and splinting, including designing and fabricating splints and adaptive equipment as specified by doctors' prescriptions. Maintain timely and accurate patient records and reports, and instruct patients in adapted techniques for self-care skills such as meal preparation and dressing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
- Current Colorado Occupational Therapist License in good standing with DORA
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to use tools used to make adaptive equipment
