Job Summary
Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessment and intervention to patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. Complete comprehensive assessments of functional capacity, including personal care, domestic, and community activities of daily living, cognitive function, and physical function. Assess patients' needs and develop individualised treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team. Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions and regularly review and progress treatment plans in line with patient goals and clinical needs. Support patients to maximise independence, participation, and quality of life throughout their rehabilitation journey. Complete functional and environmental assessments, including home assessments where required. This role offers a full-time fixed-term position with a salary of $72,992 to $117,553 per annum plus superannuation and salary packaging options.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years' experience or greater in a relevant clinical setting
- A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- A current Australian Driver's Licence
- Experience working within a healthcare setting
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and treatment planning skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to delivering person-centred, evidence-based care
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- A willingness to contribute to quality improvement and the ongoing development of clinical services
- All caregivers employed by St John of God Health Care are required to be vaccinated from Influenza
