Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one occupational therapy for older adults in private residences and senior living communities, delivering evidence-based treatment to improve mobility and functional independence. Perform evaluations, develop individualized care plans, and document effectively within the EMR system while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Educate patients, caregivers, and staff to promote safety and aging in place, incorporating telehealth and virtual care when appropriate to extend access. Manage your own treatment schedule with flexibility to support meaningful patient outcomes across Lacey, WA.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or eligibility to obtain
- Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Basic computer and EMR proficiency
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to exert medium physical effort, including lifting 25–50 lbs occasionally, 10–25 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly
- Ability to perform CPR
- Ability to provide moderate to maximum assistance with patient transfers and bed mobility
- Ability to reposition patients, stand/walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and perform therapeutic activities
- Ability to drive to patient homes and senior living communities as part of the Geriatric House Calls model
- Ability to wear PPE when required
