Occupational Therapist - Senior Living Visits

Job Summary
Part-time Occupational Therapist will make home visits to seniors in designated geographic territories in Howard County, MD. Conduct evaluations of patients’ functional status (including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, written and verbal communication skills) and ADL/IADL performance; assess cognitive, psychological and motor aspects of performance; develop individualized intervention plans to achieve favorable outcomes; evaluate home environments for hazards or barriers to independent living; identify equipment needs and environmental adaptations; continually assess and revise the occupational therapy care plan in collaboration with nursing; educate patients, family members, or other representatives in rehabilitative care; accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations in a state-of-the-art EMR; and work as part of a multidisciplinary health care team.
Required Qualifications
- Maryland Occupational Therapist license
- Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the AMA and AOTA
- A minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills
- Solid computer skills; EMR experience preferred
