Job Summary
Screen and evaluate patients to develop initial and ongoing treatment plans, discharge plans, and case management strategies. Direct and supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and rehab techs during group and individual treatments while optimizing resident functionality. Maintain accurate billing and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines, and integrate occupational therapy into interdisciplinary team activities. Establish positive interactions with communities, families, and healthcare professionals while adhering to infection control, safety, and privacy protocols. Travel between communities as needed and work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Valid certification from the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Valid Occupational Therapist state license (where applicable)
- Graduate of an ACOTE accredited school of occupational therapy
- Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds of dead weight alone
- Must be able to travel between communities during scheduled hours
- Must be able to work varying hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Attends all mandatory meetings, trainings, and assignments as delegated
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend in English: instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, productive work environment
- Must maintain valid state license (where appropriate)
