Job Summary
Screen and evaluate residents to develop initial and ongoing treatment plans, discharge plans, and reasonable goals within Reliant Rehabilitation guidelines. Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and Rehab Techs during group and individual treatment while providing clinical consultation and maintaining accurate billing documentation. Directly oversee occupational therapy services to optimize patient functionality, manage case responsibilities, and integrate therapy into interdisciplinary team activities. Maintain valid state licensure, adhere to infection control and safety protocols, and travel between communities as required. Work varying shifts including weekends and holidays, with full-time hours up to 40 weeks or part-time up to 25 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid certification from the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Valid Occupational Therapist state license (where applicable)
- Graduate of an ACOTE accredited school of occupational therapy
- Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds of dead weight alone
- Must be able to travel between communities during scheduled hours
- Must be able to work varying hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend in English: instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports
- Must maintain valid state license (where appropriate)
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Basic Internet navigation skills
- Effective clinical problem-solving skills to include but not limited to: identify and prioritize issues in a responsive manner, develop sound and innovative action plans, execute action plans on a timely basis, and ensure appropriate results
- Be a strong team player
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with a diverse population
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, productive work environment
